Runcorn haulier gets seal of approval from Theo Paphitis
Freight First have become the latest winners of Theo Pahitis’s prestigious #SBS competition.
Small Business Sunday, a Twitter based competition ran by Dragon’s Den’s Theo Paphitis requires business to submit a 140 character description of what their business does. Theo then picks his favourite six and retweets them to almost half a million followers. The lucky winners are then invited to join Theo’s elite networking club.
It takes many businesses months and months to win the competition but it took the rapidly growing haulage company just one week to grab the attention of the Ryman’s boss. “It was easy really, we are so unique in that we are taking a traditional industry with poor customer service and turning it on its head; how many other business can claim that?” Dan Atherton, Marketing Coordinator.
The winning tweet that so quickly grabbed the dragon’s attention was,
“@TheoPaphitis UK transport company tearing up the industry rule book providing unprecedented levels of customer service. We aim to WOW! #sbs”
The subsequent retweet from Theo led to an immediate influx of followers with 102 added in the first hour alone. “The #SBS competition has already had a great positive effect on the company. We can’t wait to see what happened next.” Dan Atherton.
Freight First are now looking forward to the annual meeting of #SBS winners and the chance to meet Theo and have some photos taken with the retail giant.
